What is delivery mileage?

Delivery mileage is literally the mileage that goes onto the clock when a car is delivered to a dealer or a showroom. Both pre-registered and unregistered cars can have delivery mileage on the clock, but only up to a total of 200 miles.

Pre-registration

Whilst unregistered cars with delivery mileage on the clock are still classed as new, pre-registered models are not. They are classed as second hand even though they have never technically been used. This is where the real discounts lie, because dealers are likely to sell these at vastly reduced prices due to their pre-registered status. These cars are very nearly brand new, but cost thousands less to purchase.
